| Finally, members of the jury might like to consider the following: an article on wine tasting, from the Melbourne newspaper, the Age. Previewing a conference of wine tasters in autumn 2001, the newspaper reported research from the university of Arizona which suggested that the language used by wine experts is not helpful to consumers. The terminology of wine-buffery is evocative of nothing except the terminology of wine. To illustrate, the article quoted two reviews of the same wine, Peter Lehmann's 1999 Barossa semillon. The Penguin Good Australian Wine Guide observed soberly: "In the mouth it is smooth and dry with soft fruity citrus flavours, good depth and a clean, satisfying signature." The more gonzo Wine X magazine was fruity too, but in a more direct way. The wine, it said, was "like licking lemon sorbet off Kylie Minogue's new range of underwear".
So, there are two pictures of Kylie's bum, before and after. In one, she wears the Spinning Around hot pants, in the other, a white mini-mini dress. The difference is not obvious. More evidence may be required.
