| "We are Generation X. The world is ours. To be enjoyed. To be experienced. Without rules. Now." - Campbell Mattinson, writer, Wine X.
Welcome to Wine X magazine, the mag with the anarchist touch when it comes to wine. Devoted to those aged 18 to 39, Wine X was born in the United States, but this month breaks free of the Californian-based mothership to launch an Aussie/Kiwi issue devoted to the same youth market with a Down Under twist. Edited by Andrea Frost, above, it's cheeky, fun and very different from your average wine mag. If you haven't seen the US version, the first January-February Oz issue is in a similar vein (if not slightly toned down in bravado) with plenty of infotainment in among the message that wine is fun. Baby boomers need not be scared of Wine X. A little dose now and then frees the vinous cobwebs.
Search it out at newsagents for $5.95 or contact the mag at its Melbourne HQ on 9639 8553.
