Words on Wine
by Staff
Magazine Issue: AUS/NZ Issue Two
Photography: D J Adair

When the heat from Sydney's streets cooks you from the feet up and the humidity is just two percent off being rain, slide into some of Crown Street's coolest clothes and most refreshing bars for some sweet, sweet relief and some wise, wise words.

Tarek, a photographer from Patrick Jones Studio was dragged in, dressed up and fed schooners till it was time to go back to work and get on the other side of the camera. Wearing jeans and shirt from Swedish workwear label Dunderdon available from High Jinks.

We spotted Grace, a student, waitress and maker of fine jewellery, shopping in Crown Street, from which she lives not very far. Wearing a Lush top and skirt and her own etnies slides she sits next to Jay, the ever-helpful barman from the Clock Hotel wearing a Stussy shirt and his own jeans and trainers.

Amber from Bombsquad sports her own second hand Levi's skirt, etnies slides and Bombsquad top. She works casually part-time at Bombsquad, is studying environmental politics and Spanish at uni and is the proud owner of an immaculate S-series Valiant. Shot at the Clock Hotel.

Dean (left) works at 99 Degrees, skates and has even featured as a cover boy on skate magazines. He's wearing an AlphaNumeric shirt, Juice shorts, Axion shoes and Target boxers. Jesse (right) is a part owner of the shop, a third year apprentice chef and of course, a skater. He's wearing Argonaut jeans, 99 Degrees tee shirt, Es shoes and a Droors cap. Both shot in the stairwell of 99 Degrees.

Treen and Matt both from Route 66 and both wearing threads once available at Route 66 got behind the idea of tequila shots with more gusto than most people at that time of the morning. All for the sake of the shoot, eh?

Clinton from Wilson Stuart, fresh from the UK, is as determined to call Australia home as he is to learn to use chopsticks. Clinton wears his own Levi's, a Wilson Stuart long sleeve knit and a Wilson Stuart vest, Brando's slides while dining in at Sushi Heaven, Crown Street.
